INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/49537 In this digital era, information is no longer a difficult thing to obtain. People can easily access online media anytime to gather required information. This happens as a result of the fast-growing information technology industry, which enables faster and easier access of information. Thus, making online media an effective and efficient platform for spreading information. Therefore, this final project covers about online information diffusion modeling with diffusive logistic model. Diffusive logistic model is a partial differential equation based model, which is used to represent information diffusion by measuring and predicting the density of influenced users at a given distance from the source of information after a certain amount of time. First, a preliminary analysis is carried out by finding a solution for diffusion equation using separation variable method. Then proceed with finding a solution for diffusive logistic model by using two numerical methods such as runge-kutta 4th order method and central difference method. Other than that, this final project also covers about the effect of initial density equation and parameters in diffusive logistic model towards time of information-spread convergent, along with the application of diffusive logistic model on a real case scenario of information diffusion. Based on the result of this study, it can be concluded that diffusive logistic model is able to characterize the online information diffusion. text |

In this digital era, information is no longer a difficult thing to obtain. People can
easily access online media anytime to gather required information. This happens
as a result of the fast-growing information technology industry, which enables
faster and easier access of information. Thus, making online media an effective
and efficient platform for spreading information. Therefore, this final project
covers about online information diffusion modeling with diffusive logistic model.
Diffusive logistic model is a partial differential equation based model, which is
used to represent information diffusion by measuring and predicting the density of
influenced users at a given distance from the source of information after a certain
amount of time. First, a preliminary analysis is carried out by finding a solution
for diffusion equation using separation variable method. Then proceed with
finding a solution for diffusive logistic model by using two numerical methods
such as runge-kutta 4th order method and central difference method. Other than
that, this final project also covers about the effect of initial density equation and
parameters in diffusive logistic model towards time of information-spread
convergent, along with the application of diffusive logistic model on a real case
scenario of information diffusion. Based on the result of this study, it can be
concluded that diffusive logistic model is able to characterize the online
information diffusion. |
