Summary: | Currently an alternative transportation service called bike-sharing is being developed. One of them
is the GrabWheels scooter service from the Grab company. In 2019 there was an accident and
misuse of the GrabWheels scooter which resulted in the loss of lives. Several studies say that one
way to improve driving safety for bicycle or scooter users in terms of information technology is
by developing route recommendation navigation. This final project focuses on analyzing and
designing features and interfaces on GrabWheels that can support users while driving by following
the User Centered Design methodology.
In this final project, the interface that are developed are route navigation and reminder notifications
feature in the form of a high-fidelity prototype in the form of a mobile application, adapting to the
current GrabWheels application. Usability testing is done as a form of evaluation of prototype
results with task based testing, interviews, and questionnaires referring to the UX Honeycomb
aspects. From the results of the evaluation, users are satisfied with the interface and the flow of
using features that have been developed. Users find the features are easy to use and understand,
and useful to support them while driving. This is indicated by the results from the assessment based
on Honeycomb UX, the route feature scored 4.6 out of 5, and the time reminder notification feature
scored 4.5 out of 5. |
