Summary: | Rural banks have a critical role in the Indonesia economy. However, statistics showed that the
Indonesia banking industry experienced a decline in the number of banks due to poor
performance. To remain exist in the competitive banking industry, BPR DP TASPEN, one of
the rural banks in Indonesia, must solve the problem of not motivated employees, which started
by the decreasing of employee performance since 2018-2019. After the employees were
interviewed, the company is known to never assess their employee motivation to work as a
proper base to triggers them to perform maximum works. Alderfer ERG Theory used in this
research to assess employees' motivation. Analyzed with multiple linear regression, the result
showed that relatedness needs become the only significant needs that affect employee
performance than others. BPR DP TASPEN was suggested to elaborate on the way they offer
to the employees. The idea of different motivational strategies for various people could be in
the form of customized compensation packages for employees. Therefore relatedness needs
factors such as recognition and respect appear to be more powerful motivators of behavior in
the workplace |
