Description
Summary:Transit-oriented development (TOD) is an urban development that maximizes housing, workplaces and leisure space to be within a walkable distance from public transportation. Based on the objectives and main concepts of the TOD Area, the transit movement that occurs will be more effective and efficient with the provision of a mode transfer facility or commonly called a Transport Interchange or Transport Hub. This Transport Interchange project is located in the area around the Fatmawati MRT Station in Jakarta. This building has several levels of function in it, namely primary function in the form of mode transfer facilities, secondary function in the form of park and ride facilities and city parks, and tertiary functions which are commercial functions. The design theme taken in the design of the Transport Intechange building is "optimization of transit activities". The intended optimization is optimization by solving issues. These issues are circulation issues with sub-issues of seamless connectivity, way of finding, accessibility, universal design, walkability and permeability, urban oasis issues with sub-issues of public open spaces and pedestrian centered, and issues of sustainability with sub-issues of community and energy conservation. The resolution of these issues is manifested in the concept of solutions in zoning, massing compositions, placement of entrances, determination of circulation, selection of structures, and design of the envelope..
