Thus, the purpose of this research is to deliver and to find out the Indonesia-Malaysia EEZ boundary map with equidistant and equivalents and their realization to the applicable law. This study is carried out using the literature study method, which is a problem solving using written sources that have been previously published. Literature used in this study is in the form of legal and technical sea boundary documents, articles, scientific journals in the scope of National and International relating to sea boundaries and the Exclusive Economic Zone. EEZ boundary determination method that will be used is the equidistant and the equivalent principle. The same distance method uses 3 points at the same distance to the median point while the equivalent method is to equalize the sea area of the two countries. The Result of this study is in the form of a boundary map of Indonesia-Malaysia Exclusive Economic Zone in the North Natuna Sea with the Equivalent and Equidistant principle. From the results of the discussion it will be concluded that the Equivalent Principle can be a proposed alternative solution to the settlement of the boundaries between the two countries in accordance with applicable international law. text |
