Description
Summary:Inequality is one of the problems faced by the whole world, both in developed and developing countries. This condition occurs because of the gap between the rich and the poor so that each community does not get the same standard of living. This has become a serious concern for world leaders and makes inequality one of the global challenges that must be overcome immediately for the creation of justice, equality, and sustainable living. For this reason, the central government has instructed Bank Indonesia as one of the regulators in the economic sector to analyze and make a comprehensive research related to inequality in Indonesia, especially in West Java Province. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of macroeconomic factors on economic inequality by using linear regression analysis. This study uses a sample based on secondary data from SUSENAS for the period 2013-2018. The research method used is multiple linear regression to determine the relationship between gross regional domestic product (GRDP) per capita, inflation rate, human development index (HDI), and the total population of the Gini Ratio. The results of this research are the Gini Ratio affected by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per capita and the Human Development Index (HDI).
