Kamojang is the first Indonesia geothermal field that had developped within 30 Mare, total production 10.4 Mton, in a beganning in 1983 and to be 140 Mtge since 1987, total productin by the end of 1997 was 98.3 Mton. The capasity extract the fluid in the large mass. Exploitation of geothermal field may produce mass change in reservoir, so the electrical potential will be decrease. Those reservoir mass balance should be regularly, accurately, and economically monitored. <br />
<br />
Loss mass in the reservoir can be reflected in the surface as gravity changes, so using gravity method will help us for monitor the mass change well. <br />
<br />
Kamojang has 110 gravity monitoring point that scattered about the field with base station is outside the main production area. The monitoring will be done ini 1984-1988, 1988-1992, and 1992-1997. <br />
<br />
Based on the result of the monitoring, known that in 1984-1988, the net mass chance was relative stable, it was 0.64 Mton. and decrease condition was ini 1988-1992 by the net mass chance was -13.79 Mton, whereas 1992-1997 the mass balance increase in several places by the net mass chance was -3.18 Mton. It condition due to water reinjection and meteoric water recharge move in reservoir slowly. <br />
<br />
Repairing the reservoir to the mass balance, reinjection well KMJ-15 must be active, adding the reinjection well KMJ-29, and have to do isotop monitoring periodicaly. |
