Ketoprofen has a poor solubility that needs to be enhanced solubility and the rate of dissolution. One of the ways that can be done in increasing solubility and the dissolution rate of ketoprofen is by forming an eutectic mixture with other compounds or socalled NADES. Therefore, in this study carried out the formation of the eutectic mixture of ketoprofen with L-proline, where L-proline is an amino acid that can increase solubility. The manufacture of eutectic mixture is done through the grinding of both compounds without the addition of solution or also known as Neat Grinding (NG). The binary system of the ketoprofen and L-proline is analyzed using thermal analysis such as electrothermal and DTA/TG as well as non-thermal such as FTIR to obtain a comparison of the efficacy of the eutectic mixture. From thermal analysis, it was obtained that the eutectic mixture of ketoprofen and L-proline was obtained at a comparison of 1:1. From the study of the literatures, it was obtained that the eutectic mixture made between ketoprofen and other compounds would increase solubility, dissolution rate and stability. Therefore, in the future it is necessary to test the solubility, dissolution and the stability of the eutectic mixture of ketoprofen and L-proline that has been obtained in this research. text |
