Description
Summary:Restorative Beach Resort in Nusa Dua, Bali is a fictional project with the main function of hospitality in the form of a beach resort located in Jl. Raya Nusa Dua Selatan, Benoa, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali. Standing on a land area of 8.5 hectares, this project was initiated by PT. Oriental Bali Indah Hotel and targets tourists as its main users. The emergence of this project was motivated by the diversity of individual activities to meet their daily needs. These activities require attention which if done continuously will cause mental fatigue. Thus, it requires directed attention without effort as counter attention. This is what is known as restorative. According to Kaplan, restorative is divided into the aspects of being away, extent, fascination, and compatibility. These aspects are in line with recreational needs, tourism potential, and locality problems in Bali. Thus, the project's vision emerged, which is to create a resort that is able to provide a restorative effect for its visitors by elevating Balinese culture through the formation of local communities and Balinese characteristics as well as creating quality spaces and supporting facilities. Located in an exclusive area, the facilities provided are complete and varied. Namely the front of the house along with the back of the house, gymnasium, swimming pool, yoga bale, spa, wedding chapel, and beach club. The room types are divided into three, namely superior suite, deluxe suite, and president suite. Site and building planning use traditional Balinese conceptions including nawasanga to determine the position of the main building, natah, and temple. In addition, the mass of the building uses the tri angga concept which divides the building into the head, body and legs. Massing and building orientation also consider the beach as a selling point of the site. The design of the space is made in such a way to create an attractive space experience for its users.
