| Summary: | There are three core elements of life, consist of human, nature and god. All of the three coming together as a symbol of prosperity and happiness called Tri Hita Karana meaning 'The Three Cause of Happiness'. Through Mendorong-Ke Dalam, Menarik-Ke Luar (Pushing-Inward, Pulling Outward), the writer tries to merge the existence of human being with its surroundings and try to confront the spectator to 'imagining big' beyond themselves, by witnessing fragments of a whole painting that have been distorted by intentions. The voyage that the spectator will be experiencing was build trough a work of installation painting. This work takes colors as the main topic, by enhancing its ability to give physical effect, meanings and form through gestural expressionist strokes on canvases. The writer expects to touch the most subjective sense of the spectator and its relation with unconsciousness, to confront them to wander and wonder about their own journey in this short life and the meanings that have been put into it. |
