It can use several media, such as liquid, granular and mostly gas or air. This principal is valid for the dirigible where the internal air pressure is higher than the atmospheric pressure outside. The success of the principal application on the transportation means urged the engineers to apply also to the architectural building. The pioneer was Sir William Lanchester with his field hospital design in 1918. The characters of pneumatic structure are lower initial investment, fast construction time and lightweight, for its main material thickness is not more than 0.5 mm.<p align=\"justify\"> Application of pneumatic structure in Indonesia, especially in architectural building is not much carry out yet. The obstacles we have been facing are the lack of resource person, which followed by the lack of popularity and also, the non-existence of particular rules to regulate the pneumatic structure building development.<p align=\"justify\"> Actually in fact, Indonesia is a fertile field for pneumatic structure development. The Indonesia\'s tropical climate makes no possibility for the snow load, which is the greatest enemy of pneumatic structure. Besides, Indonesia has a lot of event, which appropriates to the character of pneumatic structure. The production of PVC coated fabric, the main material of pneumatic structure is no longer a new thing in the country textile industrial environment. The main aim of this thesis is to introduce the pneumatic structure as one of the non conventional alternative structures which can be used in Indonesia to solve the problems connected to the speed of development, ability to transport and lower cost in the long span building structure discourse.<p align=\"justify\"> To explain more clearly, two test eases was chose to represent the main kinds of pneumatic structure, which are double layer air supported structure and rib air inflated structure. The first system has superiority in the length of span while the second in space flexibility and openings.<p align=\"justify\"> Also included the detail of production and storing technique, transportation method, erection and dismatle process with hope that those things could give more clear picture about how to produce a pneumatic structure building in Indonesia. text
