Summary: | As a solution for agricultural land scarcity, an IoT-based long distance hydroponic farm monitoring system will be made in this final project. Sensor values from sensors attached to the hydroponic system will be sent to the server with MQTT protocol, and users can access these sensor values from a long distance with a website. Not only that, the system uses EC values from the hydroponic kit as a feedback for proportional closed-loop system for automated nutrient dosing. This system also will take a picture of one of the hydroponic plants as a sample, send the image to the server, and the server will calculate plant height with image-based measurement program. Plant height measurement could be used as one of the plant’s growth parameter.
With this long distance hydroponic monitoring system, it is expected for the system to not only help the user in long distance monitoring from sensor values available, but also automatically control the nutrient dosing. Other than that, the system could monitor hydroponic plant height growth with image-based measurement. Users can see the monitoring result from an interface, and plant growth modelling based on data from monitoring could be done. |
