Description
Summary:Kind of every day administrative services prepared by Basic Electrical Engineering Laboratory (LDTE) ITB are attendance service and locker lending. But, these administrative service are still not efficient in term of time because it caused long queue for student when they want to start the experiment. This long as an assurance and a process of inserting Student ID Number (NIM) on a particular web page at the same time. In response to that problem, ALO system is designed. ALO is a system that read unique identity property of students, record the activities of the student, display it, and then this system will open the locker key with electromagnetic power. When the student has already done at their locker, when the locker is closed, the door will be locked automatically. ALO system has been designed by a fingerprint sensor as an input media of attendance, database as a local data store, electromagnetic actuator circuit as a locker key, and microcontroller as a scheduler for all features of the system. The main point of this paper is the firmware that will process schedule, logic, and dara for this system. This firmware used a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) as the operating system and HTTP as a protocol for sending data to local server. There are also many algorithms to process digital image of the fingerprint. The result showed that the firmware can process all of the data based on schedule and can manage all features in the system well.
