Summary: | Company knowledge management is needed to learn and support employee's work, generate
new value for the company, and increase work productivity. Through the process of knowledge
management will speed up access to information and knowledge and create innovation. One feature of
knowledge management that has quite widely used in the company is the repository. Divisi Digital
Service (DDS) already has a system repository which is called DIAS. However, now DIAS is not used
because it is not compatible and cannot be updated anymore. DDS does not have a centralized place to
contain employee documents. This research wants to find out how the DDS storage needs and what the
right solution to answer the DDS needs.
This research approach uses GAP analysis and requirements analysis to understand the needs
of the DDS employees. GAP analysis helps the author to explore shortcomings that exist in previous
systems and requirements analysis helps the author identify related to current employee needs. After
analyze, emerged about the proposed solution to meet the needs of DDS. The proposed solution is new
product development.
This research focuses on three aspects of new product development are idea generation, idea
validation, and concept development. The results of the idea generation and idea evaluation are
presented in the form of mind maps. The concept development results are presented in the form of a
prototype. The prototype is tested toward potential users and the results of the prototype test are
expected to provide input in further product development to suit the wants and needs of employees.
Feedback from the prototype test results is the final solution for this research.
The results of this research are proposes solutions and improvements that can apply to the
development of knowledge repositories. Recommendations are also proposed in the form of a
development and launching activity in the future. |
