THE SEASONAL INFLUENCE OF METEOROLOGICAL PARAMETERS ON THE CONCENTRATION OF PARTICULATE MATTER (PM10)
Kemayoran of Central Jakarta became area with the worst level of air quality in Jakarta Province in 2019. Air pollution is closely related to anthropogenic activity and is influenced by meteorological parameters. There are many studies on the effect of meteorological parameters on PM10 concentration...

Air pollution is closely related to anthropogenic activity and is influenced by meteorological parameters. There are many studies on the effect of meteorological parameters on PM10 concentrations in Indonesia, but they show different conclusions. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct of the seasonal influence of meteorological parameters on the concentration of PM10 in Kemayoran Central Jakarta. The methods used in this study are descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple linear regressions. This method is used to see the spread of pollutants temporally, to know the relationship of meteorological parameters with PM10 and to know the effect of meteorological parameters simultaneously on the PM10. The results showed that high temperatures, low humidity, and weak wind speeds and the absence of rainfall caused high PM10 concentration. Scatter plots and harmonic analysis showed the temperature's relationship with PM10 was positively and significantly correlated with a value of 0.45. While the relationship of other meteorological parameters (humidity, wind speed and precipitation) indicates a negative and significant with a value of -0.46 for humidity; -0.3 for wind; -0.36 for precipitation. The determination coefficient explains the effect of meteorological parameters simultaneously by 25.4% on PM10 concentration. text |
