Description
Summary:Rice (Oryza sativa) is a basic food needs of Indonesian society and is a major source of calories and protein for most of the population. In meeting food needs, it is of course necessary to increase the growth and yield of rice. Tobacco plant extracts (Nicotiana tabacum) other than as a biopesticide, have the potential to influence the growth of other plants because they contain allelochemicals in them. This study aims to determine the effect of tobacco extract on the growth and yield of rice (Oryza sativa) varieties of Inpari-32. Research using the RAK method. There are 3 different treatment concentrations of tobacco extract and 1 control (K0: control, K1: 1ml/L tobacco extract concentration, K2: 2ml/L tobacco extract concentration and K3: 3ml/L tobacco extract concentration) in 3 repetitions. The observed variables included growth observation variables namely growth rate, plant height, number of tillers, number of leaves, canopy and root dry weight, flowering age and phytohormone. Observation of yields include stover weight, number of seedlings per panicle, total number of tillers, weight of 1000 seeds, grain weight ratio and productivity (tons / ha). The results showed that the concentration of tobacco extract gave a significant effect on the variable age of the fastest flowering in the treatment of 3ml / L tobacco extract concentration and the highest percentage of unhulled grain in the treatment of 2ml / L tobacco extract concentration.
