| Summary: | In global competition, Indonesia needs qualified human resources. One of the goverment’s efforts in improving the human resources is decrease the number of stunting whose the prevalence level is still high and far from the WHO’s target. Individuals who are stunted not only have an effect on their height, but their brain development can also be impaired and they are at risk of developing degenerative diseases and lowering productivity in the future. Stunting is not solely caused by economic factors, parents' understanding of nutrition and parenting is the biggest factor. Unfortunately the level of parent‘s knowledge in that case is still low. Therefore, education about stunting is needed to increase parent’s awareness about the dangers of stunting, especially mothers and prospective mothers, regarding nutrition and parenting. This design uses a mixed method from the qualitative method in the form of literature study, observations, interview with expert, and comparison of similar works, and quantitative method in the form of collecting primary data through distribute questionnaire, and supporting secondary data.The result, there are still many prospective mothers who do not understand nutrition and good parenting for their children, and need to be educated about these, especially regarding parenting related to stunting prevention efforts. The media chosen is an interactive children's book with an interactive design concept using fuli of imagination for story content, because it is attached to children psycological condition wich is imaginative but still concrete with the content being presented. As for the mother the structure is more denser but still attractive. This media was selected, because this media is able to filter complex concepts into interesting and easily understood concepts by all circles. |
