| Summary: | Catholic Church in Bandung has been growing from year to year, especially in east Bandung because of the growth of residential area in this part. However, the growth of Catholic church is not followed by the number of church building in Bandung, especially in east Bandung. In 2015 Diocese of Bandung planned to build Saint Anthony Church in Gedebage Disctrict, sub-district Babakan Penghulu, Cinambo. Unfortunately, the plan does not get a positive response from the local people in the area and has to be cancelled.
Looking at the response from the local people, diferrent approach is needed in the design of the Church so that the community can accept the construction of the Church in the East Bandung area. Therefore, the main concept for designing this church is a community-based church where the church complex is not only used by the catholic people but it can also be used freely by the people living around the church complex. With that, the people living around the church complex can benefit from the presence of this church be it from the increase of quality of life to the use of facility accessible in the church complex.
