Therefore, it is necessary that the Kutuh Village community could manage it properly. This design project is a form of collaboration between Bhaga Utsaha Manungggal Traditional Village (BUMDA) and the government in providing the accommodation needs of local and foreign tourists in the Pandawa area. The site is located on Jalan Timbis, Kutuh Traditional Village, South Kuta. The site area is about 49,850 m2, that's consists of 31 villas, supporting facilities, and recreational facilities. This project is designed to raise three main issues, namely climatological issues, environmental character issues, and also local cultural issues. These three issues were then responded to a concept that became the basis for the design, namely 'Experiencing Pandawa: Tropical Tranquility and Local Architecture', which means a journey to tropical nature and Balinese Traditional Architecture. The main concept of the design project is realized through architectural, environmental, and sociocultural approaches. The potential for natural features and views of the South Bali sea is a point of interest for tourists who develop into a reference for placing masses and site zoning. This resort is also designed with an approach to tropical climate conditions and the character of their contoured land. The concept of this building form adopts through traditional Balinese architecture which is created with simple geometries and local materials. In responding to the dry site conditions, this resort implements a water-integrated harvesting system that can sustainably conserve water. These following design of Seaside Cliff Resort are expected to be able to contribute by increasing the potential of the Pandawa region through various local experiences offered to the tourists. text |
