WATER REQUIREMENTS MODELLING IN PRODUCING GREEN MUSTARD (BRASSICA OLERACEAE) NOVA VARIETY USING CAPILLARY WICK IRRIGATION AT DIFFERENT LIGHT INTENSITIES AS AN INITIAL DESIGN OF HYPER URBAN FARMING SYSTEM

The increasing of population and rampant urbanization lead to high competition for resources in urban areas. The need for food increases, but the availability of water for production decreases. Efficient water use using the Penman - Monteith method can be a common solution. However, evapotranspirati...

INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/50099 The increasing of population and rampant urbanization lead to high competition for resources in urban areas. The need for food increases, but the availability of water for production decreases. Efficient water use using the Penman - Monteith method can be a common solution. However, evapotranspiration modeling using the Penman - Monteith method must be corrected with the Actual method to obtain more relevant plant water requirements data, and treatment of differences in light intensity serves to enlarge the spectrum of the model so that it can be used in various conditions. Based on the results of the study, the without shaded and shaded treatments had Actual evapotranspiration 1,44 and 3,18 times higher than Penman-Monteith evapotranspiration, with R2 = 0.97 and R2 = 0.99 respectively. In addition, the without shade treatment resulted in higher plant height, leaf number and dry weight than shaded treatment. text
