Summary: | PT Nodeflux Teknologi Indonesia, also known as Nodeflux, is one of the vision artificial intelligence startups in Indonesia. Before the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia, Nodeflux experienced a decline in the achievement of its revenue target from 2018 to 2019. The inadequacy of the revenue target in 2019 was caused by the unconducive political situation in Indonesia and the products’ unpreparedness. The products’ unpreparedness was thought to be caused by several internal problems that have not been resolved by Nodeflux. After the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia, Nodeflux’s sales is also declining. The existence of internal problems that have not been resolved and the emergence of new problem amid the Covid-19 pandemic have made it difficult for Nodeflux to achieve its current goal to lead the competition in its industry. Therefore, this study aims to identify the problems at Nodeflux and design intervention to fix those problems.
In this study, the identification of problems in Nodeflux was carried out through an organizational diagnosis process with a proposed model which consists of 13 elements: attitude towards change, mission, output, input, actor, factor, strategy, structure, system and process, staff, management style, culture, and business process. Then, fixing the identified problems was begun by identifying Nodeflux’s current growth stage. The identification of the growth stage of Nodeflux was carried out using an adapted model from several existing models which consists of 7 elements: market, structure, product/service, reward and control system, innovation, top management style, and goal. The result from the identification of the Nodeflux’s growth stage will provide the direction for Nodeflux’s development to fix the problems identified in the diagnostic process. This development direction will form the basis of intervention design on Nodeflux.
Based on the results of the diagnostic process, Nodeflux currently has problems in managing input and factor elements. Meanwhile, Nodeflux currently has all the
characteristics of formalization stage. The development direction of an organization that already has all the characteristics at this stage is moving to the next stage, namely the elaboration stage. This stage is characterized by the ability of the organization to collaborate. Therefore, the proposed intervention for Nodeflux is designing a strategic alliance. The proposed strategies for Nodeflux that can take advantage of the alliances with other organizations are developing product with educational institutions and developing product that can prevent the spread of Covid-19.
