Summary: | PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) is one of the most dominant companies in the automotive industry. One of the continuous improvement efforts carried out by the Human Resource and Development Department is the implementation of flat organization in several divisions Two divisions that have implemented flat organization are the Area Division and the Information and Technology Systems Division (ISTD). During its implementation, the number of employees in both divisions has changed but there has never been a review of the employee's workload. Therefore, relatif workload review will be done using NASA-TLX and Full-Time Equivalent.
The average NASA-TLX score indicates that workload in both divisions are in the moderate workload category. The Full-Time Equivalent results of relatif workload review in Area Division shows that 19% of employees in the Area Division experienced underload, 44% of employee workloads were normal, and the other 37% experienced overload. In the Information Systems and Technology Division, 58% of employees underloaded, 13% of employees' workloads were normal, and the other 29% overloaded.
From the results of the relatif workload study, some recommendations suggested could be applied by the Area Division and Information Systems and Technology Division of PT Toyota-Astra Motor are to conduct work rotation or recruitment, apply job delegation, use technology to make processes more efficient, train employees, and create logbooks. |
