The research was carried out in dry and rainy seasons. The growth ofA cepa was observed based on the measurement of the length and the number of the leaves. At the same time, on the same location, the other study were carried out such as the presence of the male imago in relation to the growth ofA. cepa which were recorded by sex pheromone traps; the life cycle of S. exigua was observed under semi natural condition. The daily period of response of male S. exigua to its sex pheromones was recorded every night during 6 days . The ability of migration of S. exigua was predicted by using capture-mark-recapture (CMR) method. Meteorological data (temperature, relative humadity and rainfall) were recorded and compared to the data from the station of institute of meteorological data-TegaL The results indicate that the growth ofA. cepa in dry season was better than the growth in the rainy season. In the dry season, S. exigua was presence in A. cepa at the period of vegetative and generative, although, in the rainy season S. exigua was presence only in the vegetative phase. The density of larvae and imago of S. exigua on A. cepa in dry season was higher than in the rainy season. These situations give the higher damage (18.59%) to the A. cepa in the dry season than the damage in the rainy season (1.06%). Based on the length and the number of the leaves of the A. cepa, the presence of S. exigua correspond to the growth of A cepa and highly correlated with the relative humadity. The life cycle of S. exigua is about 20-37 days, the larvae stadia is about 9-15 days. The male of S. exigua respons to sex pheromone from 21.00 to 05.00 in the next morning. The ability of migration could not predicted because the recaptured of fly was very low (4 - 14 %). text
