Description
Summary:Agriculture is one of the vital sectors in Indonesia and is a very important sector for Indonesia's national development. Some things that underlie agricultural development in Indonesia have an important role, including the potential for large and diverse natural resources, the contribution to national income which is quite large, the contribution to national exports, the contribution of the Indonesian population which increases community food supply and becomes the basis of growth in rural. Productivity is a parameter of the success of the agricultural sector. Infrastructure based on information and technology becomes alternative solution. In this bachelor thesis, the author has solved this problem using hovercraft. In this bachelor thesis, the author has already discussed the propulsion system that is suitable for use in the fields. The design began by determining the needs based on operations in the fields and then did calculations for the needs of the propulsion system. The parameters obtained have been used to determine the appropriate components and the author will validate using Ansys Fluent software and continued the process with the prototype engineering process. The hovercraft prototype with dimensions of 30 cm x 50 cm with a spraying system is the final result of this final project. The author has tested it to see the performance of the hovercraft that has been made. The test results showed that the hovercraft can operate properly and in accordance with the design requirements and objectives that have been designed.
