The stock photo marketplace is one of the most popular, easy, and inexpensive options for photographers to market their photos. The only things the photographer need is to submit the stock photo to the marketplace then the marketplace took care all other stuff photographer needs to sell their photo. Unfortunately by joining the marketplace photographers lose most of their profits and control over the photos they have. The centralized nature of the marketplace leads to a great reliance and trust on third parties who often had a lack of transparency in managing transactions. This shows the need for a marketplace that can work trustlessly and transparently in managing transactions in the stock photo industry. The Distributed Stock Photo Marketplace (DSPM) solution is designed and developed using a blockchain-based distributed marketplace system to achieve a system that could work without the existence of a third party. This system focuses on managing transactions without trust in third parties so that photographers and clients can have a direct transaction with each other. DSPM allows the photographer to have complete control over the stock photos as well as their whole stock photo profit. This is made possible by blockchain and smart contract technology. Based on the results of functional testing and blockchain simulation on DSPM, it is proved that DSPM can be a more transparent and profitable alternative for photographers and clients than a centralized marketplace. However, DSPM still faces scalability and performance issues to be used in a real-world production environment. text
