Uncontrolled diabetes leads to serious damage and cause acute or chronic complications. One alternative treatment that can be used for diabetic patients is medicinal herb. Centella asiatica (CA) is a wild plant that can be found and grown anywhere and has anti-diabetic agent. This literary study aimed to summarize the pharmacological activity of CA on the model of diabetes mellitus. Search data obtained from PubMed with the keyword "Centella asiatica AND (Diabetes mellitus OR Diabetic)" published in 2015-2020. The article search was conducted on 01 June 2020, obtained 8 preclinical articles and 1 clinical article. Based on journals, the main component of CA is asiatic acid and asiaticocide. In preclinical tests, CA can elevate glucose intake through PKB/Akt signaling pathways, reduce oxidative stress and lipid metabolism, play a role in anti-inflammatory, and wound healing process through Wnt/?- catenin signaling pathways. In clinical trials, CA may decrease symptoms of neuropathy. text
