Description
Summary:Abstrack
Waterflooding becomes the most popular improved oil recovery technique due to its advantage compare to other technique. Prior to conduct complex reservoir simulation, it is recommended to do preliminary-forecasting using available waterflood prediction methods. The objectives of this study is to investigate capability of the waterflood prediction methods, i.e. Buckley Leverett, Stiles, Craig Geffen Morse, and Empirical Correlation Method of Khan to predict peripheral waterflood performance and develop a simple method that improves accuracy of those existing methods. A new method was generated based on observation on those available methods in how they duplicate the production history data. A concept of fractional flow, namely evolver method, in conjunction with genetic algorithm process predicts the peripheral waterflood perfonnance much closer.
