This study intends to find out how the influence of MJO and Cold Surge on the Diurnal Cycle of Precipitation in the area of Western Indonesia. The data used in this research are Era-5 reanalysis data and RMM 1 and RMM 2 indexes to identify the phenomenon of Cold Surge and MJO. Meanwhile, to identify and analyze the Diurnal Cycle of Precipitation, Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation (GSMaP) data is used. The method used is the composite method and Harmonic Analysis and for rainfall patterns explained in the form of a Hovmoller diagram. The results of this study indicate that MJO and Cold Surge have an influence on increasing the amplitude of the Diurnal Cycle of Precipitation. However, there is no significant effect on changes in the peak phase of Diurnal Cycle of Precipitation. This study also shows that MJO and Cold Surge have an influence on increasing the average intensity of Morning Rain and Evening Rain in the area of Western Indonesia. text |
