Summary: | <b></i>Abstract : </b><i><p align=\"justify\"> <br />
Partnering is a type of working relationship between two or more parties or organizations by sharing objectives and resources to manage activities and its risks based on trust, commitment, openness, respect, and compromise so that a project can be managed effectively. <br />
<br />
In overseas construction practices, partnering has shown a good result in increasing performances in many projects and reducing growth of project cost, schedule, and number of modification. For adopting the partnering concept into indonesian constructing practices, a sound and solid strategy is necessary to be developed. For that, this study has examined and analyzed the condition and problem inherent in most construction practices (e.g. traditional contract practices) from partnering frame work point of view, in this case shown by Critical Success Factors (CSFs) (critical management skill, critical contextual characteristic, permeability of organization, risk attitude of relationship, and. time perspective of relationship). <br />
<br />
The result of the analysis shows that the attitude, opinion, and perspective of contractors and owners in Indonesian Contraction Industry (ICI) are significant and consistent between characteristic or attribute of partnering level 1 and 2 (cooperative and collaborative type of relationship). The same results are relatively shown by respondents which are classified by the years of company experiences and the number of type of work have been handled. Therefore, the partnering strategy for ICI is to apply the combination between partnering\'s characteristic or attribute level 1 and 2. The another research finding shows that contractors which have experiences below 20 years and the owners have experiences more than 20 years have the most relatively similar characteristic of attitude, opinion, and perspective against working relationship of partnering\'s CSFs point of view. |
