<b></i>Abstract :</b><i><p align=\"justify\"> <br /> For anticipating the growth of textile industry that specialized in knitting products, and also in order to expand the company\'s market share, Pertenunan Sumber Jaya is making a plan for a new location in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. This knitting plant is arranged to produce fabric for shirts that will be used in garment industry. Building in the new location requires a great deal of investment, so a fit and proper analysis is needed. <br /> <p align=\"justify\"> Fit and proper analysis that has been done covers five aspects, they are marketing aspects, techniques and operation aspect, management and organization aspect, legality and environmental aspect, and financial aspect. The focus is at financial aspect that will indicates whether this project is a proper project to carry on. <br /> <p align=\"justify\"> From the marketing aspect, this knitting product has a highly potential market and the company has decided only a target of 0,35% of the potential market. From the techniques and operation aspect, the available location is at an industrial area equipped with adequate facilities. <br /> <p align=\"justify\"> From the management and organization aspect, the organization has a simple structure and requirement of some operators whose capability is not necessarily high. From that, it is easy to see that this aspect has slight influence to make the project successful. <br /> <p align=\"justify\"> From the legality and environmental aspect, building in the new location is not against any rules. More over, a new manufacturer in the new area has a good influence for the social environment since it will give some working opportunities for the neighbourhood. <br /> <p align=\"justify\"> From the financial aspect, the calculation shows that the project has NPV equal to Rp 5.832.128.706, IRR equal to 30,63%, Payback Period for 3,95 year and ROE equal to 680,27%. <br /> <p align=\"justify\"> Based on the result of the analysis that has been done over all of the aspects, a conclusion can be made that the investment to build a new location for the knitting plant is worth spending.
