Fatigue is a condition, which a person feels an extreme tiredness and sleepiness, and is caused by many factors. Sustained wakefulness is one of many factors that causes fatigue. Fitness for duty is a protocol, developed to evaluate workers readiness for work. However, in the field, FFD is often limited by time. Therefore, the quality of tests used in the protocol must be maintained. Neurobehavioral tasks, which are tasks that evaluate human’s executive function such as vigilance and hand-eye coordination, are one approach for implementing FFD. This research will evaluate the quality of Psychomotor Vigilance Task (PVT), Sustained Attention Test (SAT), and smartphone-based games approached test as part of neurobehavioral tasks in measuring fatigue for FFD. This experiment had a repeated measures design and is done in a controlled environment. The characteristic of quality evaluated are validity, reliability, and practicality. 12 participants (21-24 yr., 22.167 ± 0.835) will completed the objective measurement (PVT, SAT, Piano Tiles) and the subjective measurement (KSS and VAS) every 2 hours in a 20 hours period of sustained wakefulness. The study shows that PVT performance decline significantly as participant’s time awake increase (p<0.05). PVT performances show significant correlation with KSS ad VAS (p<0.01), SAT performances show low correlation with KSS and high correlation with VAS (p<0.01). Among the tools, only the game produced a high reliability measurement (ICC>0.75). PVT-F and PVT-M produced a moderate reliability measurement (ICC>0.5), while other parameters produced a poor reliability measurement (ICC<0.5). PVT and SAT needed longer duration of test and a computer to run, while the game can be run in a shorter period and by using a smartphone. Overall, PVT is the instrument with a higher quality of measure in measuring fatigue. text |

Fatigue is one of many causes of accidents at work.
