To realize this airport development plan, it is necessary to design from two sides, namely the land side (passenger terminal) and the air side (runway or runway). The airport designed is Sultan Thaha, located in Jambi City. This paper will discuss the design of a terminal construction method with 2 floors, making an air side and parking area for cars and motorbikes. In addition, it will also discuss construction cost estimates, schedule design and the implementation of the Health and Safety System called SMK3. The terminal building is designed with a size of 180 × 75 meters which is composed of a concrete drill pile foundation, steel roof frame, bracing, columns and composite plates. To complete the terminal, a large reach or high mobility device such as a crane is needed. In addition, for user convenience, the terminal is designed with heat insulation on the roof. With a bottom up construction, the construction of the Sultan Thaha Airport Area begins with a terminal, then in parallel construction works on the air side and parking lot. The air side consists of rigid and flexible pavements. The surface layer of a rigid pavement is composed of a mixture of concrete, while on a flexible pavement surface composed of a hot asphalt mixture. Heavy equipment used, namely: wheel loaders, dump trucks, Asphalt Mixing Plant (AMP), mixer trucks, asphalt pavers, tandem rollers, pneumatic rollers and vibratory rollers. In addition, the parking lot which is composed of rigid pavement uses heavy equipment, namely: wheel loaders, dump trucks, vibratory rollers and mixer trucks. Drainage works on the air side and parking lot using the same tools are an excavator to dig channels, a dump truck as a carrier for excavations and a mobile crane as a U-ditch lift. With this construction implementation method, the estimated cost is Rp. 418,811,172,243 which includes direct costs, SMK3, overhead, contingency costs and taxes. The project work duration is 539 working days or about 25 months. Then, the planned SMK3 is the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Work Protective Equipment (APK), K3 officers, K3 socialization and promotion programs, preparation of necessary documents and RK3K signs and insurance for workers. text |

Jambi Province is geographically located very strategically in the middle of Sumatra
Island, so it has the potential to become a center of activity with a relatively equal distance
to major cities on the island of Sumatra. To realize this airport development plan, it is
necessary to design from two sides, namely the land side (passenger terminal) and the air
side (runway or runway). The airport designed is Sultan Thaha, located in Jambi City.
This paper will discuss the design of a terminal construction method with 2 floors, making
an air side and parking area for cars and motorbikes. In addition, it will also discuss
construction cost estimates, schedule design and the implementation of the Health and
Safety System called SMK3. The terminal building is designed with a size of 180 × 75
meters which is composed of a concrete drill pile foundation, steel roof frame, bracing,
columns and composite plates. To complete the terminal, a large reach or high mobility
device such as a crane is needed. In addition, for user convenience, the terminal is
designed with heat insulation on the roof. With a bottom up construction, the construction
of the Sultan Thaha Airport Area begins with a terminal, then in parallel construction
works on the air side and parking lot. The air side consists of rigid and flexible pavements.
The surface layer of a rigid pavement is composed of a mixture of concrete, while on a
flexible pavement surface composed of a hot asphalt mixture. Heavy equipment used,
namely: wheel loaders, dump trucks, Asphalt Mixing Plant (AMP), mixer trucks, asphalt
pavers, tandem rollers, pneumatic rollers and vibratory rollers. In addition, the parking
lot which is composed of rigid pavement uses heavy equipment, namely: wheel loaders,
dump trucks, vibratory rollers and mixer trucks. Drainage works on the air side and
parking lot using the same tools are an excavator to dig channels, a dump truck as a carrier
for excavations and a mobile crane as a U-ditch lift. With this construction
implementation method, the estimated cost is Rp. 418,811,172,243 which includes direct
costs, SMK3, overhead, contingency costs and taxes. The project work duration is 539
working days or about 25 months. Then, the planned SMK3 is the procurement of
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Work Protective Equipment (APK), K3 officers,
K3 socialization and promotion programs, preparation of necessary documents and
RK3K signs and insurance for workers.
