Water quality in biofilter in aquaponic systems often requires in-depth study to determine the effectiveness of aquaponic systems. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of water quality on the aquaponic system of carp with lettuce and mustard biofilter plants fed BSF. The fish used were 3-5 cm in size and weighed 1.8-2.4 grams with the Kratky system hydroponics which were bred for 4 weeks. Water testing parameters were carried out at ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. The results of his research are an increase in average height of lettuce 33.07cm and the average number of leaves from 4 strands to 11.1 strands, while on mustard plants the average plant height is 7 cm and the number of leaves from 4 strands becomes 11.35 cm, the amount of ammonia and nitrate are increasing, and fluctuating nitrites having levels below 0.001mg / L. The conclusion of this study is that ammonia and nitrate affect the growth of lettuce and mustard greens. Nitrate and ammonia in lettuce plants gives a better growth effect compared to growth in mustard plants. text |
