Summary:The environmental condition in most cities are still not quite nicely managed. One of which is the activity in cultivating flower bouquets as a media for celebrations. These bouquets use various flowers and the amount of production is quite a lot. The waste treatment in this flower market is not yet effective for there are lots of unused flowers that are thrown away even in good condition. This issue causing the ineffectiveness and bad environmental impacts. These flowers can be reused as natural dye for textiles. The society is more aware of the bad impacts caused by the textile industry and they're slowly changing their lifestyle by changing the textile material into something that is more environmentally friendly and not generating the waste itself. Textile using biodegradable materials are made with natural fibers and dyed using organic dyes or any type of fabric which uses less water, energy and chemicals that is giving impacts to the environment. The flower waste can be reused as textile dye material using ecoprint technique applied to silk fabric. The result of this exploration will be applied to a ready to wear fashion product later on.
