Description
Summary:PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) is an automotive company, one of its role is to distribute vehicle automotive product to all over regions in Indonesia. Vehicle Logistics Division (VLD) is one of division that is responsible in domestic logistic operational and accessories installation of Toyota Vehicle. Based on data in March 2019 - February 2020, overstock condition still happened at VDC (Vehicle Delivery Center) with average national overstock reached 3,43%. RVDC Tugu contributed for about 0,53% to average national overstock. The problem root cause of overstock at RVDC Tugu is vehicle standard stock level that is used at RVDC is not optimal. To solve the problem, this research applies two model references. In the ????(????,????) policy, the problem is decomposed into n single-item and applies markov decision theory as solution analytical procedure. This model is also applied Zheng and Federgruen (1991) algorithm to find out optimal vehicle minimum and maximum stock level (????,????) that is used as input of (c,S,?) policy. In the (c,S,?) policy, it is applied policy iteration improvement step and simulation approach to find out optimal ???? as decision variable to determine whether a delivery planning should be issued or not based on real time inventory position. Senstivity analysis results show, the model is sensitive to change of demand, lead time, and inventory cost. The ????(????,????) and (????,????,????) policy solution is obtained using 2019 data in normal condition before there was a significant change in demand due to pandemic. The solution shows that total maximum stock level that should be stored at RVDC Tugu is 1047 unit less than current capacity standard 2222 unit, indirectly reduce average national overstock contribution of RVDC Tugu from 0,53% to 0%. ????(????,????) policy reduce inventory cost about 36,11% from Rp.1.118.739,835,18/month to Rp.714.733.315,57/month while (c,S,?) policy can reduce inventory cost about 39,71% to Rp. Rp. 674.518.112,16/bulan.
