Relying on the speed of production and sales time, fast fashion changes consumer behavior to consume clothes more and faster. Every fast fashion garment is responsible for its impact on the environment and social in society, from the collection of raw materials for the garment, the process of producing clothes, to the waste of clothes after consumption. The garment short lifecycle creates excessive and dangerous waste, and creates consumerism behavior. In this project, the author uses the upcycling method as an effort to create sustainable clothing products to design wearable art, by utilizing the waste produced by the fast fashion factory in Cigondewah. Wearable art is intended as a form of delivering sustainable fashion issues and consumerist behavior as a result of fast fashion. The author believes that consumers have a big share in the sustainability of the fast fashion industry by becoming a conscious consumers that concerned and aware about the impact it produces.
