Description
Summary:There are many procedures carried out in experiments using microfluidic platforms, one of them is sample processing. Sample processing procedure consist of three steps: sample injection, microfluidic chamber flushing, and microfluidic chamber drying. Today, most pumping devices used to perform the sample processing steps still need to be manually adjusted and controlled one by one for each step, which is impractical and could be tiring to do especially when sample processing steps needed to be performed are many and take a long time. This can cause the user to lose focus which leads to the drop of the experiment’s quality. To combat these problems, we design a programable pump system that can perform sample processing steps on microfluidic platforms based on parameters set by the user through the system’s user interface. The main subject of this report is about the design and implementation of the user interface used to operate the pump system. The UI discussed in this report is divided into two: system-integrated UI and desktop application UI.
