INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/50523 One of the keys to escalate the growth of a district is determined through the availability of public infrastructure, especially related to transportation modes. Sultan Thaha Airport is a project of national scale that is expected to catalyze the economic and tourism development by increasing the accessibility from and to Jambi Province. Design of terminal as entrance and exit path for passengers starts as architectural drawing being realized into structural documents before being constructed. Upper structure of Sultan Thaha Jambi Airport consisted of a ground zero level and a mezzanine level with dimension of 180 meters height, 75 meters width, and 27,2 meters roof crown maximum height. The structural design uses three seismic resistant steel structure systems: Steel Special Cantilever Column System for canopy structure attached to a vertical combination of Steel Special Truss Moment Frames for roof structure and Steel & Concrete Composite Special Moment Frames for main structure. Truss system of canopy and roof structures are modelled geometrically with SAP2000 v22 software while main structure frames are modelled with ETABS 18. Entirety of the structural frames are formed with steel profile sections whilst the main structure columns are built with filled composite columns. Ground floor slabs are designed as cast-in-situ reinforced concrete plate and mezzanine floor slabs are assembled with steel deck composite slab system. Detailed design of base support reaction to foundation is helped by spColumn v6.00 in addition to connection detailing between structural elements using Tekla Structures 2019i. text
