Description
Summary:Football is one of the most popular sport activity in Indonesia. This english sport has been evolving in Indonesia since the year 1930. Persiba Balikpapan is one of many football clubs in East Kalimantan as a proof of the rapid development of football in Indonesia. The development of football cannot be separated with the development of its supporting infrastructure, such as stadium. That is why Persiba Batakan Stadium will be built as a replacement stadium with the improvement of its audience capacity. This stadium is dedicated for football matches and as a headquarter for Persiba Balikpapan club. The design of Persiba Batakan Stadium has to consider a few aspects, one of which includes management of water resources. Within this aspect, it is mandatory to design drainage system for insuring that rainwater would flow to urban drainage system. Generally, the design of Persiba Batakan is based on a concept called Eco- Hydraulic which minimalize dranage load to the surrounding ecosystem. The channel of drainage system can be divided into two categories, sub-surface channel and surface channel. Retention pond should also be designed to prevent flood by lowering the peak of discharge in the chanel. Beside drainage system, considering the geographical location of Persiba Batakan Stadium that is very close to the ocean and a few active faults, then there is the need to analyze tsunami runoff of the stadium.
