This can be caused by gap difference between door as well as door frame (receiver) mismatch between door and receiver. In effect there must be additional work for setting the door i.e. : cutting end part of the skin door, additional sealant at door, installing shim at several location of door or hand forming process. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">The additional work will increase installation time and also will decrease the quality of part. This condition also cause decreasing interchangeability. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">To solve this problem it is recommended to use a Reverse Engineering concept that can improve the quality of part and interchangeability. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">At this research it has been assessed the concept of Reverse Engineering, interchangeability and replaceability concept design, Reverse Engineering application at the Pilot Door assembly process, interchange points checking at N-44 and N-46 aircraft CN-235, and also facilities checking (Master Tooling Gauge / CLPU-01, CLPU-02, Assembly Jig, Secondary Gauges /CLCO-01, CLCO-02). <br /> <p align=\"justify\">The result shows that there are out of tolerance at gap and mismatch of Pilot Door points. The comparisons between the actual and nominal dimension of Master Tooling Gauge / CLPU-01 also are out of tolerance. text |
