This study done in PT. Sumber Graha Sejahtera unit Balaraja Kabupaten Tangerang. This research used experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 7 treatments 3 repetitions. The treatments uses a different content of bark filler Surian and size of particle on each treatment. Treatment A (4% bark filler surian size 120 Mesh content), Treatment B (8% bark filler surian size 120 Mesh content), Treatment C (12% bark filler surian size 120 Mesh content), Treatment D (4% bark filler surian size 100 Mesh content), Treatment E (8% bark filler surian size 100 Mesh content) and Treatment F (12% bark filler surian size 120 Mesh content). The result were analyzed using analysis of variance and Duncan Multiple Range Test. The parameter observed was characteristic of adhesive (pH, solid content and viscosity) , physical properties (water content and density), mechanical properties (tensile strength, modulus of elasticity (long and cross) modulus of rupture (long and cross), and delamination) and emission formaldehyde which is refer to JAS(Japanase Agricultural Standar) 2014. The result in this study show that addition bark filler surian affect to characteristic plywood sengon. Result of analysis of variance (ANOVA) significantly affected the water content, density, tensile strength, modulus of rupture (long) and modulus of elasticity (long) and not significantly affected the modulus of rupture (cross), modulus of elasticity (cross), delamination and emission formaldehyde. The average grade of emission formaldehyde in all treatment is F3. The addition 12% bark filler surian 120 mesh can reduced a grade of emission formaldehyde if compare a control. Grade of emission formaldehyde control is F3 and treatment C is F4. text
