Of the 42 districts in Garut Regency, only seven are served by the local PDAM, namely PDAM Tirta Intan Garut. Based on the BPPSPAM Performance Report (2019), the service coverage of PDAM Tirta Intan Garut has only reached 14,92% with an installed capacity of 697 liters per second. The planned IPA has a capacity of 125 liters per second originating from the Kandangmukti Village Spring with two district service areas, namely Kadungora and Leles Districts, the WTP is built on empty land with an area of 9.963 m2 with a transmission to the west of the spring with a distance of about 675 m . From the results of the water quality test conducted, it is known that there are five parameters that must be processed to meet the quality standards of Government Regulation Number 82 Year 2001 and Minister of Health Regulation Number 492 Year 2010, namely turbidity, BOD, COD, organic matter, and total coliform. The selection of alternatives is carried out using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method which considers aspects of construction, effectiveness, land requirements, suitability of raw water, operation and maintenance, and economy. The direct treatment configuration with slow sand filter was selected, consisting of intake with screening and broncaptering, pre-filter unit namely horizontal-flow roughing filter, filtration with slow sand filter, disinfection with calcium hypochlorite, and ground reservoir. This configuration is also equipped with a sand washing system which functions to clean the scraped sand from the slow sand filter. The cost of building the IPA with the required supporting buildings is Rp 18.279.777.000 and the annual operational cost is Rp 5.499.053.820. From the results of economic analysis using two methods, namely Net Present Value (NPV) and Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR), it is known that this WTP development project is economically feasible. text
