Summary: | On 22
nd
of August 2013 PT. XYZ was founded, a company engaged in the field
of Financial Technology (FinTech), which sells Payment Point Online Banking
(PPOB) e-money payment applications. On May 24, 2018, Bank Indonesia issued
Regulation No.20/6/PBI/2018 on e-money, which caused the decline in the
company performance. The decline in the company's performance resulted in
many business partners leaving the company.
To overcome this problem, the company established a new company called PT.
TCG that sells physical products by direct selling using the MLM method. The
researchers conduct an analysis to find the source (root cause) of the problems
experienced by the PT. XYZ company. Using the BMI analysis framework
(business model innovation) and cause-and effect diagrams (fishbone diagrams)
root cause analysis on PT XYZ business activity until PT TCG’s product was
launched. The researcher discovers that the root cause of the company's problem
lies in the loss of the company's alternative financial resources that is the floating
money and PT XYZ members who quit/went inactive.
The recommendations given by researchers are: the introduction of the PT TCG’s
unique MLM system to the public to get either new members, or to get old
members to rejoin the company, and bank loans, as alternative funds that the
company can quickly gain. |
