Data indicates the potential source of water in South Bengkulu Regency where several sources have continuous flow throughout the year. The availability of water in several location can be utilized optimally, one of which is for water needs. With that potential, a weir construction project and a water transmission network from the Bengkenang River are planned. Bengkenang has a watershed area of 97 km2. The project is planned to meet the needs of the Air Nipis District, Bunga Mas District, Kedurang District, Kedurang Ilir District, and Seginim District for 20 years. Water demand in 2040 for five districts is projected to be 101,67 l/second with reliable discharge of 3,14 m3/second with 90% reliability.
