Occupational health and safety management system is is a comprehensive policy system that can seek to prevent workplace accidents. Work accidents must be prevented to keep PT Sika Indonesia's business activities up. One of the measures in Occupational health and safety management system is observing potential hazards at work stations. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential hazards that exist and provide recommendations for improvement using the hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control (HIRARC) method.
Data collection was carried out by observation and interviews to determine the existing conditions of the instant cement production process. Observations and interviews were carried out to obtain data input that would be used in improving occupational health and safety conditions in the work environment using the HIRARC method. The results showed that the condition of instant cement production at PT Sika Indonesia has a high-risk risk value, so that improvements are needed that can increase safety at work. Recommendations for improvements that can be submitted include the addition of self-protection equipment, additional security engineering controls in the form of fences, signs, and vibration dampers, and work-aid tools.
