This fact can be seen by the high numbers of violations of helmet usage law. One of the obstacles to implementing helmet usage habits is user reluctance. Helmet suitability to user needs is important to encourage helmet usage habits. This research aims to evaluate helmet products using Kansei Engineering to give improvement recommendations in the product development process. In this research, 38 respondents were involved in Kansei word identification and 164 respondents filled the questionnaire. The data acquisition process is done online by spreading the questionnaire through social media. Consumer wants and emotions to the helmet product delivered through words that will be processed using factor analysis and become Kansei words, which will represent consumer emotion. These Kansei words then will be connected to the most relevant product attributes from the product sample. The result of this research is improvement recommendation for product attributes of helmet which will meet consumer’s wants and needs. These attributes were flexible detachable foam, visor stability, soft foam, Nylex coated foam, light-weighted helmet, just right foam thickness, light, elastic, waterproof, and heatproof strap, ventilation existence, just right helmet size, adaptable strap length, ABS made helmet shell, chin bar existence, EPS shell existence, elegant and neutral color, interesting model with no motive nor carving, polycarbonate made visor which is anti-scratch coated, transparent visor, and nose guard existence text
