Description
Summary:Rice becomes the most widely cultivated food crop by households and becomes the main source of carbohydrates and source of calories. Increasing production to meet food needs for the population that continues to increase always get the top priority in agricultural development in Indonesia with its main strategy in the form of intensification of farming. Tobacco plants (Nicotiana tabacum L.) which have been known as one of the biopesticide ingredients are thought to have alelochemical content that can increase rice production. This research is aimed at knowing the effect and optimal treatment of concentration and interval combination of tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) extract application on yields that include dry biomass harvest, number of puppies, weight of 1000 GKG grains, percentage of grain, yield per crop and estimated productivity of rice plant (Oryza sativa) Inpari 32 varieties. The study consisted of 10 treatments consisting of 9 treatments that were a combination of concentration (1ml/l, 2ml/l, 3ml/l) with intervals (1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks) of tobacco extract solution and 1 control (without the application of tobacco extract), with 3 repetitions per treatment. The results showed that the concentration and interval of tobacco extract application had a significant effect on the percentage of paddy grains and the weight of 1000 GKG grains in rice plant (Oryza sativa) Inpari 32 varieties. The combination treatment of concentration 2 ml /l with a 1-week application gave the best effect on the yield of rice (Oryza sativa) Inpari 32 varieties.
