Summary: | Abstract :
Airborne Instrumentation System (AIS) is an instrumentation system installed on-board the aircraft to perform processing and presentation of flight test data. Airborne Real Time Instrumentation System (ARTISt) is a software to control the AIS running in real time.

The ARTISt software has capabilities to convert data in electrical unit into data in engineering unit as well as to calculate the \"extended parameter\". The software can also display the flight test data either in electrical or engineering unit, in table mode, graphic mode, tab~raph mode (both table and graphic mode), and Xplot mode. It can also print the flight test data using the printer, and record the flight test data using the harddisk.

The software development process follows the V-cycle which consist of requirement analysis phase, design phase, implementation and testing. During the requirements analysis, SA/RT method is used for functional modelling, TOOD method is used for designing the software. The software was implemented using C language with Borland C compiler version 3.1 in the DOS environment. Finally, the testing of the software was carried out using the functional test method.

Based on the functional tests, the ARTISt software developed in this thesis complies the requirements specification. |
