Network integration and the distribution of public transport routes become essential points in public transport performance. To that end, a study on the rerouting of public minibus routes is carried out by Dinas Perhubungan Kota Bandung, in the context of integrating public transportation routes in Bandung. This study aims to evaluate the area of public transport services in the city of Bandung in an integrated way, and compare the results of the study of rerouting against the existing route, with Geographic Information Systems. Mapping of public transport networks is carried out with ArcGIS, covering the road network, terminals, existing and rerouted minibus routes, Damri Bus, Trans Metro Bandung, and railroad tracks. The data is obtained from available documents. The catchment area of routes is based on the walking distance of the people of Bandung, which is 200 m for minibus and 400 m for railroad tracks. The evaluation of public transport service areas includes evaluation of the efficiency of the route and the integration of the network – with analysis of route overlap – and distribution of route areas evaluation – with catchment area ratio analysis and transit accessibility analysis. The effectiveness of public transport routes is analyzed with the overall overlap of the catchment area. Intermodal network integration is analyzed with the level of overlap of each city bus route to minibus routes. The effectiveness of the public transport network improves after the rerouting of city minibus, with overlap rates between minibus routes falling from 69.44% to 50.30%. The integration of rerouted minibus routes are better on every Damri and TMB bus route, compared to the existing minibus routes, by looking at the proportion of minibus routes that overlapped with transit bus routes. Three minibus routes still have a high level of overlap with transit buses. The distribution of public transportation routes didn’t improve with the rerouting of minibus routes, with the ratio of service areas in Bandung increasing from 53.76% only to 54.44%, and the accessibility of the PVJ, BIP, and TSM malls with public transportation decreased. text |
