The thesis is written based on the result of research on the study towards drawing and writing of the Arts \"wayang Prasi\" and Comics containing narration on Indonesian Classical Puppet. This research compares traditional work (prasi) with modem work (comics). Of especially on its wimba (contents and ways). This is particularly interesting to be studied as both expose capture puppet stories with different expressions and carry process areas which are unique from one another, so as arise a question as the problem in this study, whether there are similarities and differences between prasi and comic concerning the Indonesian classical wayang stories. This study aims to understand and describe the similarities and differences in detail. Besides that, it is also to discover and introduce traditional Balinese local values in the hope that this study can contribute to the development of comics in Indonesia.<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
As the object of study analysis in this research the writer stresses on aspects related to prasi form or shape to comics that are related to the problems of wayang form, costumes, accessories, attributes, animals, buildings, composition, space, Writing and other ways of wimba. <br />
The method used is descriptive qualitative methode by using data from the works of Indonesian classical wayang prasi and comics, and supported by the opinion of respondents consisting of prasi and comics artists , as well as arts curators should be who understand the problem being discussed. In collecting sample, it matched with samples used from references, resource person chosen proportionally, purposive sampling and the result of recording historical data source, as well as recording in the field.<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
In order to obtain objective data, technique collecting data this study used tecceninque data collecting, that is, observation supported by photographic documentary equipment, documentary techniques, and interview techniques. <br />
To analyse the work, comparative study is applied by comparing the language of prasi art to comics, so similarities and differences in wayang prasi with comics depicting Indonesian classical wayang stories are found. While there are 3 main aspects in the data analysis model in this process, i.e., data reduction, data presentation and conclusion verification as an interrelated aspect before, while and after data collecting is carried out.<p align=\"justify\"> <br />
From the result of the comparative study in the contains and ways of wimba to drawing and writing of the art of wayang prasi with Indonesian classical puppet comics, similarities and differences are found. Similarities are viewed from the visualization of wayang wimba which shows resemblance, in accordance with the research aspects on the language of shape or on form visualization related to costume wimba, such as, similarities in fabrics, in which all warrior characters wear a piece of cloth fold in front and sticking downward. Wh reas the character of the princess wear the \"jarik\" without the loin cloth. But all characters wear long pieces of cloth covering their ankles. The use of accessories, such as, necklace, bracelet, ankle chain, earrings, are generally worn by all characters. The use of attributes, such as hair buns, which are usually worn to differentiate one character to another shows similarities in the way that both adopt the wearing of hair buns according to traditional rules. <br />

The differences are found in the drawing of wayang/wimba figures, in which the art of prasi, is still restricted to rules of traditional decorative wayang, while in comics, it tends to resemble human (realistic and anatomic). without perspective have layers and flat impression. In comics bears perspective. on animal wimba, plants, building the drawing of prasi tends to be decorative but rarely perspective, while comics is more naturalistic and bears perspective composition and space in puppet prasi is made flat in a row according to palmyra palm strip, while comics has adapted perspective. Writing in prasi uses Balinese characters while comics uses latin characters. |
